The Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union organisation is responsible for creating, developing and managing the growth of both amateur and professional Rugby Union in Victoria.

The Melbourne Rebels team has been in existence since 2010 and competes in the international Super Rugby tournament involving teams from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Strength and Conditioning (S and C) Coordinator (20-25 hours per week).

Key responsibilities will be:

  • In consultation with the High Performance Manager assist in designing, managing and coaching all team and individual player strength and conditioning sessions.
  • Assist with planning periodisation within the program.
  • Assist with control and monitoring of loading, intensity of all training sessions.
  • Assist with all team and individual player warm up sessions (includes match day warm ups) as directed.
  • Assist with team and individual recovery sessions as directed.
  • Liaise closely with elite development S & C coaches to monitor the progress of identified players throughout the season.
  • Maintain all relevant physical and performance data (including the use of the Smartabase system).
  • Monitoring of GPS data.
