The Role

Council’s Sport and Recreation team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Leisure Inclusion Officer to join the team. You will be responsible for delivery of a program of structured opportunities to increase the inclusivity of sporting clubs and broader physical activity environments within the City of Whittlesea.

About you

Experience in stakeholder management, program delivery and partnership development across marginalised populations in the sport and recreation sectors is preferable. If you meet the above, and have a positive and ‘can do’ attitude we encourage you to apply.

Essential Requirements

  • Formal qualifications in community sport and/or recreation management or previous experience working within the leisure sector
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to gain the co-operation of members of the community and of other professionals
  • Demonstrated skills in effective written and verbal communication
  • Evidence of successful problem solving, particularly in a leisure and recreation context
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
