A key focus is to move the centre from its current infancy stage by growing the business and increasing profitability through effective team leadership and working with head office marketing to implement marketing initiatives and convert leads to sales. As safety is a key priority, managing risk and compliance is also paramount.
To ensure you are leading by example, some in-water teaching and pool deck supervising will also be required. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide input into the strategic direction of the centre. Our centre will be open Monday – Sunday, including mornings and afternoons, so flexibility regarding work days/hours is required. About You
You will be passionate about managing the centre as though you are running your own swim school but in compliance with Aquabliss policies and procedures.
Some of your knowledge, skills and experience will include:
minimum 2 years experience in running a medium size swim school, achieving budget and profitability targets
minimum 2 years management and leadership experience, sucessfully leading teams, demonstrating an ability to inspire them
an entrepreneurial spirit with a flair for sales and marketing, confident and skilled to promote a swim school and convert leads into sales
Aquabliss Swim School has seven aquatic centres across the greater Sydney region. We believe that it’s not enough for people to just be able to swim, they need to be able to swim well.
Our Gregory Hills Aquatic Centre offers an indoor 25m pool and an 18m program pool to an established but growing community, where nearby new housing developments and a new Gregory Hills shopping centre are under construction. The Aquatic Centre is located on the site of one of Australia’s best childcare providers, Exceed. You will have the benefit of a state-of-the art facility to market to a large childcare centre right on the doorstep, as well as the nearby growing population. There is also the added luxury of a new and large centre manager office!
The successful applicant will benefit from being part of our recently launched new swim methodology using better swimming techniques which will raise the standards for teaching swimming in Australia.
