Applicants should respond to the following two targeted questions in a covering letter [maximum two pages] as well as supplying an updated copy of their resume [maximum five pages] with relevant skills and experience and identifying how these relate to the capabilities of the role.
- Describe your experience in preparing ministerial or corporate communications materials – media releases, briefings, speech notes, parliamentary material and other key documents.
- Describe an example where you have identified and executed a media opportunity. You should outline the media opportunity, the strategy, and how you executed the strategy. You should also detail what materials/events/communication you were responsible for delivering and the outcome. An example where the opportunity involved multiple stakeholders would be advantageous.
Part of the assessment process may include additional online capability testing, skills testing or work samples in accordance with the new Government Sector Employment Act 2013; therefore you may be contacted to participate.
