The AIS is responsible for leading and enabling a united High Performance (HP) system that supports Australian athletes to achieve podium success. The Operations Branch of the AIS delivers targeted, world-class programs designed to implement impactful and competitive advantage services to the HP system. On the whole, AIS Programs provide a multidisciplinary approach targeting pre-elite athletes; complex athlete injury rehabilitation; the altitude house and support for the National Sporting Organisation (NSO) camps.
The Post Graduate Scholarship in Physiotherapy aims to progress Australia’s next generation of Sports Physiotherapists, providing the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a HP sports environment. In collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary HP team, you will assist in the delivery of world class Physiotherapy services to AIS programs, combined with an applied learning or research project where you’ll present findings to relevant stakeholders.
In addition to the above, our successful candidate will have:
- Completed relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Physiotherapy
- Proven level of academic and professional excellence
- Demonstrated involvement in sport
- Interpersonal qualities
- Strong commitment and interest to developing skills and knowledge in HP sport
This Post Graduate Scholar position is based at the AIS Campus in Canberra and is a fixed term contract until December 2019.
Salary range = $60,343 - $71,788 per annum plus superannuation.
