Burwood Council currently has a unique opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our Learn to Swim team and make a real difference to the water safety of our community.
By joining our Learn to Swim team, you will gain:
What do you need to apply for this opportunity?
- A reasonable level of fitness and swimming ability
- Minimum age of 15 years
- Ability to work from 3:00pm on weekdays. Weekend shifts also possible
- Two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccination
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment at no cost
What does the training process involve?
- Self-paced online training
- One-day face to face practical workshop, included CPR Certificate
- Completion of trial teaching hours at Enfield Aquatic Centre
What do you need to commit to?
- Time to complete training
- Obtain a Working with Children Check through Service NSW, simple online form (cost is approximately $80)
