About the team – The Technology Coordination team owns the ASC Technology Group’s program of work management practice and has oversight of the delivery of complex technology projects across the organisation and sporting system. It has responsibility for the Group’s project establishment and governance, budget management and procurement, reporting, resource demand and capacity tracking, and oversees compliance to its practice methodology.

About the role – Working to the Director, Technology Coordination you will support the delivery of the ASC Technology Group’s program management practice and oversee the delivery of complex technology projects across the ASC and sporting system.

You will collaboratively support virtual delivery teams by ensuring teams toolsets and delivery methods are maintained and sound, and by delivering confidence to the Executive through transparent and contemporary reporting. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the Technology Group - Front Door mailbox and ensure work requests are actioned in line with PMO and Group practices.
  • Manage the triage and assessment process for incoming requests, and maintain a view of current priorities vs request demand vs resource skill and capacity.
  • Facilitate data capture from project teams and manage a program roadmap consisting of pipeline and committed work.
  • Oversee project manager and scrum master deliverables to ensure Group expectations are met and planned activities and deliverables align and demonstrate traceability to program objectives and organisational strategies.
  • Maintain a register of critical dependencies, risks and issues and other delivery obstacles which threaten program commitments. 
  • Maintain the Group resource plan, software assets and procurement activity, and advise on areas of improvement. 
  • Establish and maintain a central location of delivery practice material, pipeline and project information, and facilitate the creation of instructional guides, playbooks, etc to assist and inform delivery teams on the processes and activities required to plan, design and deliver projects.
  • Manage the production of required project reporting material to ensure information is contemporary, accurate and delivered within the required timeframes.
  • Mange the program risk management register and ensure alignment with organisational risk management procedures and the PMO.
  • Coach and mentor staff to support them enhance their skills, improve team performance, better adapt to change, feel empowered and confident achievers.

About you – The successful candidate must have experience using project management methods in a technology arena. They must have a can-do attitude and demonstrate an ability to maintain successful relationships across ASC. You will have:

  • 5-10 years proven experience leading diverse teams delivering projects or similar business outcomes to fixed timeframes.
  • Experience using project management techniques and methods to deliver outcomes.
  • 2-5 years’ experience managing software assets, procurement and contracts maintenance.
  • Experience using performance measures to assess project or similar practice compliance and facilitating delivery status reports for Executive audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for coaching or mentoring staff.
