Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness (SUSF) is a dynamic organisation providing sporting, recreation and fitness services to the University and general community. This involves the management of over 40 sporting clubs, a number of fitness, health and other sport-related facilities, and the coordination of University and community based sport and recreation programs.
Excellence in sport is integral to Sydney University’s rich history and diverse identity. From intervarsity to international-level sport, Sydney University is well-represented in the winner’s circle. Since 1990, Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness (SUSF) has supported Sydney University’s student athletes with sporting scholarships to enable them to excel in their sport and studies.
Pursuing excellence in sport and studies simultaneously can be especially challenging. However, with access to the comprehensive benefits and services of the Elite Athlete Program through a sporting scholarship (which includes the assistance and encouragement of dedicated staff), members CAN realise their potential.
The Elite Athlete Program seeks an individual with the right mix of people and administration skills and experience to undertake the role of Elite Athlete Program Coordinator to work with a team that’s committed to providing excellent support to Sydney University’s student athletes and sporting clubs.
The scope of the role requires the application of a diverse skill set to seven key areas: student athlete and sporting club servicing; business development; relationship management; staff management; financial management; program operations; and other duties/special projects.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Exceptional people skills
- Excellent administration, organisation and time management skills
- Competent Microsoft Office, IT and social media skills (especially Microsoft Excel)
- Experience working within a university-based environment
- Relevant industry knowledge of Australian professional and amateur sport and secondary and tertiary education
