The historic and prestigious Fremantle Sailing Club provides extensive facilities in a supportive environment in which groups of like-minded members share in competitive and recreational boating, aquatic and social activities.
The Club is currently looking for an On-Water & Sailing Manager, ideally with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar sporting management role involving the co-ordination, promotion and delivery of sailing and other boating events & activities. Preference will be given to applicants who have had experience in the delivery of Class, State, National and International regattas.
The On-Water Sailing Manager is responsible for the professional management of the Club’s annual sailing program, to manage the sailing office administration and communications, budgets and financial reporting, support objectives of the Sailing Committee and the Youth Development Foundation.
The Sailing Manager role requires great attention to detail, willingness to carry out a variety of responsibilities including race planning, race management, promotion and event organisation as well as co-ordination with the land-based operations of the Club, volunteers, etc.
A friendly and out-going personality is a highly desirable attribute along with enthusiastic leadership, strong computer skills, and a good understanding of WH&S and Worksafe requirements. The applicant must have or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children check.
