Avondale Football club is looking to appoint a full-time General Manager to lead the organisation’s day to day management and to report back to the committee on all management aspects of the club as well as provide sound strategic advice with regards to continuing development.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Stakeholder Management
• Fund Raising
• Sponsorship Management
• Community Development
• Marketing and Advertising
• General Administration
• Communications
• Player List Management
• Financial Management
• Senior and Junior Development Programs
• Membership Management

Key stakeholders include Football Victoria, local councils and other statutory authorities.

Experience in the following would be highly valued in this role:

• Tertiary/degree qualification in marketing, business, sports management or business development
• Experience Commercial Management, Planning and Budgeting
• Corporate Sales, Merchandising and Event Management
• Staff and Contractor Management
• Football Operations and Junior Development Programs Management

A salary package commensurate with the high standing of the role will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record at an executive level and a demonstrated ability managing change and meeting challenges that emanate from working in a dynamic environment with Sponsors, Club Members, Volunteers and other Stakeholders.
