About the Centre
Casey ARC is a centre for everyone. One of Melbourne's best health and recreation facilities, Casey ARC's state of the art facilities include a 50-meter swimming pool, program pool, toddler pool, spa, sauna, steam room, and wave pool, a fully equipped health club area, extensive group fitness timetable and programs that cater to older adults and children.
Casey ARC is an important community facility, managed by YMCA Victoria in partnership with the City of Casey. With over 1,000,000 annual visits, the membership base of 5000 and in excess of 2800 aquatic education enrolments, Casey ARC is one of YMCA Victoria's busiest contract managed facilities.
Key Elements of the Role
Duty Managers will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing the following functions whilst on shift; customer service, safety, staff rosters and breaks, kiosk, plant operations, cash balancing, customer education, and general maintenance and cleaning.
As a Duty Manager, you will have delegated authority to the Centre Manager. As well as identifying potential risk factors and taking steps to reduce those risks, Duty Managers will act as positive role models in an effort to build strong people, strong families, and strong communities within the facilities that we manage.
Duty Managers will maintain a broad knowledge of centre programs and services whilst at the same time managing the following functions whilst on shift; customer service, safety, staff rosters and breaks, kiosk, plant operations, cash balancing, customer education, and general maintenance and cleaning.
Selection Criteria
- Experience in a large aquatic centre leading teams
- Experience with water chemistry, pool testing and chemical handling
- Proven problem solving, negotiation skills and excellence in customer service
- Ability to work across 7 days a week across morning, day and night shifts
Qualifications
Mandatory Pre-requisite Qualifications
- HLTFA301B - Apply First Aid or equivalent
- HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR or equivalent
- Pool Lifeguard Award
