UniSport Australia is the peak governing body of university sport in Australia

We strive to promote and foster the importance of university sport as an integral part of university life at 43 member universities, who collectively represent more than one million students nationwide. Our primary focus is providing expertise and leadership in university sport. We aim to deliver and integrate national policy that enhances and facilitates opportunities for competitive participation in sport for students at a regional, national and international level. Furthermore, we also focus on providing a broad range of supplementary activities, advocacy and services for our members.

UniSport is seeking two suitable candidates to fulfil the role of Sport Programs Coordinators for our Nationals and also our International & Leagues.

The Sport Programs Coordinators will be vital in providing administration and operational support for the delivery of the respective programs and to this end will have a number of key responsibilies specifc to their program area, as well as providing support to the wider organisation.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience (sport/events management)
  • Experience in working to an operations plans (and/or event timelines)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks across numerous projects with differing timelines and key outcomes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when it comes to stakeholder relations
  • Knowledge of multiple sports and their rules and regulations

Desirable Criteria

  • Drivers Licence
  • A working knowledge of the university sporting sector and Australian sporting environment.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages relating to web and desktop publishing applications
  • Ability to ski or snowboard
