Description

Wenona is seeking outstanding and enthusiastic Netball coaches for 2020. The sporting program at Wenona is a vibrant and central part of school life, characterised by high levels of student engagement and participation that focuses on team spirit, fair play, courage, adventure and balanced, healthy lifestyles.

The coaching position will require before and/or after school training commitments with the possibility to negotiate days. The position also requires you to be available on Saturdays. As NSNA Netball games are played throughout the entire day on a Saturday, it may be a morning or afternoon commitment. Pay and conditions are determined by experience, qualifications and level of professional representation as determined by the Principal in consultation with the Director of Sport and Performance.

Successful applicants will be required to provide the School with a current Working with Children Certificate and required to undertake a coach induction process.

Overview

  • All Wenona teams compete in the NSNA Winter competition (commencing Saturday 28th March to Saturday 5 September 2020)
  • The top Senior and Junior teams also compete in the IGSSA Netball Competition in Term 3, 2020 (selections for these teams are held at a later date and training commences in Term 3)
  • Training for the NSNA competition will commence on Thursday 26 March 2020 at Willoughby outdoor Netball courts
  • All teams train on Thursday afternoons during term time and are divided into 2 sessions (Junior teams train in the first time-slot 3.45pm to 5.00pm, and Senior Teams train in the second time-slot 5.00pm to 6.15pm)
  • In addition, the top 2 Senior teams will train one extra session per week (usually Monday mornings during term time (6.30am to 8.00am) at school
