Junior Graphic Designer

Collingwood Football Club is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our design team and assist in producing high quality and well considered visual assets and brand aligned designs for our key internal and external stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and innovative designer to come on board and combine a passion for sport and design.

We are looking for a fast learner with strong vision, an individual with an eagerness to explore and try new design techniques and methods. You will have a willingness to take things on and remain resilient during busy periods.

The role will focus on creating and producing original brand-aligned designs for web, mobile app, video, social media and other digital platforms. Working collaboratively, with not only the graphic design team and the wider marketing and product department, however also other internal and external stakeholders, means that relationship management skills, as well as the ability to influence, and manage your time and priorities effectively, is essential.

Other responsibilities include:

• Developing and presenting concept sketches or storyboards to internal and external stakeholders
• Successfully integrating design to meet marketing communications objectives and industry and institutional standards for accessibility and usability
• Supporting in-house photography for selected club activities
• Brainstorm and participate as part of creative teams that include other designers, developers, writers, editors, producers, videographers and others

Reporting into the Senior Graphic Designer, the successful candidate will have a relevant qualification in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Graphic Arts or the equivalent. Ideally you will also be proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat specifically) and have AfterEffects knowledge. Animation experience and skills would be a bonus.
