The role
We are looking to welcome a number of experienced Security and Customer Service Supervisors to join our Event Delivery team on a casual basis. Reporting to the Event Manager at an event, your role is to lead a team and provide a high level of service to our customers through proactive monitoring of your environment and efficient and effective response to incidents as they occur.
In this role you will be rostered onto shifts according to our event calendar at any one of our Venues (Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, Hisense Arena or AAMI Park as well as at the Australian Open in January each year).
As a key member of our Event Delivery team your availability to work during key event times is critical. At a buzzing precinct like ours, these times are many and varied and often include late nights, weekends and public holidays.
What you will bring to the role
- Leadership and Supervisory experience ideally in an event or equally complex and high-pressure environment;
- Ability to coach and guide a team ensuring expectations of performance and deliverables are consistently met;
- Demonstrated experience dealing with high risk and hjgh profile security operations and customer negotiation and issues resolution, including but not limited to evictions, first aid incidents and crowd management;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust and collaborative relationships with hirers, promoters and delivery teams;
- Operational mindset with a strong safety and customer focus;
- Professional presentation and the ability to meet the required physical fitness level appropriate to the role;
- Hold applicable certificates and qualifications relevant to the role (Certificate II Security Operations, current Victorian Private Security Individual Licence with the activities of security guard and crowd controller is essential and a prerequisite for this role. First Aid Certificate highly desirable.)
