Description

Your contribution

  • Plan and deliver high performance sport science (biomechanics) servicing/programs that are evidence-based to QAS supported athletes that complement the Coach's developmental philosophy.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a support team that creates a high performance environment to provide an integrated program based on the level and needs for QAS supported athletes.
  • Provide regular feedback (verbal and formal) to the relevant stakeholders regarding athlete progress in relation to individual development priorities and sport program objectives.
  • Contribute to the highest quality assurance standards relating to methods, equipment and equipment maintenance and utilise QAS approved systems for athlete programming, monitoring, reporting and data management.
  • Stay informed and abreast of current advancement in sport science training methodologies and technologies.  This includes working collaboratively on approved applied research projects which contribute to the effectiveness of the coach and athlete in training and competition.
  • Undertake supervision of staff (including junior Performance Scientists, interns and students) as requested plus assist with other supplementary roles, projects or duties as determined by management.

Qualifications

A degree qualification in sport and exercise science or agreed equivalent as determined by the Director-General is required.  Seek advice from the nominated contact officer before applying if equivalency needs to be assessed.

A post graduate degree in the specific fields would be highly valued.
