Role purpose

  • Support the administration of the YJFL Football season and League events.
  • Administer player development programs, including YMA, SDP, U12/U13/U16.
  • Support the Office and Administration Manager  in fulfilling their role for the YJFL, including supporting our club volunteers.

Specific administration duties within YJFL include:

  • Document preparation, (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Support Marketing Coordinator with document preparation.
  • Support delivery & distribution of merchandise.
  • Update League Calendar (on-line) where appropriate.

Club Support

  • Professional communication with clubs, including requests for support and assistance


  • Providing administrative support to the League’s Umpiring group

Key relationships

  • YJFL Executive Staff
  • YJFL Umpire Management and Staff
  • AFLV & AFL staff including relevant FDM’s
  • Club Presidents, Secretaries, Coaching Coordinator’s  and Delegates

Qualifications & experience

  • Have strong IT skills, including Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) and laptop hardware.
  • Have worked in a Customer Service environment.
  • Have been a volunteer, preferably in a sporting club.
  • Have a current Working with Children certificate & Police check.

Working hours

The Administration Assistant will work 5 days per week (Monday-Friday), from approximately 9am-3pm, and will work from February to mid-September.

Essential Requirements

  • Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
  • Fully Vaccinated or have a medical exemption

Desirable Criteria

  • National Police / Criminal History Check
