Known for our people-first approach, the Hawthorn Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to support in the delivery of the Clubs event calendar that includes corporate hospitality and coterie events, public events, major events, internal department events and match day functions.
We are looking for our successful candidate to start end of January or early February 2022.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Events & Special Projects, the Events Coordinator will provide effective administration of allocated events including liaising with stakeholders, producing documentation such as run sheets and coordination of event logistics.
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal departments to effectively market club events including digital campaigns and marketing/event collateral that champion the club’s brand. This role will prepare event reports that demonstrate an alignment to strategy and achievement of KPI’s.
In addition, the Events Coordinator will also:
- Coordinate and allocate staff, volunteers, and suppliers to assist in delivering assigned events
- Produce relevant reports, ensuring budgets are met
- Provide support to the broader events team including administration of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, salesforce, and handling stakeholder enquiries.
The ideal candidate
With professional working experience in events, backed by a tertiary qualification in events, business, or related field you are a highly organised and motivated individual, with a can-do attitude. You have superior customer service skills and an ability to engage and work closely with different levels of stakeholders.
With an understanding and interest in AFL, you are passionate about creating and delivering events that are on trend, using your creative flare to maximise engagement. With a strong attention to detail, you are computer and digitally savvy with experience using a CRM.
With strong time and project management skills, you have an ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment with an adaptable and flexible approach.
