About Skate Australia

Skate Australia is the national sporting organisation responsible for management, coordination, development, and promotion of skate sports in Australia.

Skate Australia works in partnership with state associations. It collaborates with an extensive network of stakeholders including Sport Australia, The Australian Institute of Sport, The National Institute Network, clubs, and community members to enhance participation and competitive success in skate sports.

Following a highly successful Olympic Games debut in Tokyo, Skate Australia with the assistance of its major stakeholder groups have constructed a comprehensive strategic plan to continue its recent international success. Skate Australia is embarking on an ambitious and exciting new strategy within high performance. As a result, we are currently seeking to recruit a High-Performance Operations Lead on a permanent basis, to support our performance objectives leading into Paris 2024, LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.   

About the role

The Operations Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the key operational aspects of Skate Australia and delivering exceptional events across all Skate disciplines.

This is both a leadership and hands on role as part of the broader management team, with accountability for the achievement of operational outcomes and results.

This position will require a values-driven leader, capable of building great relationships with a demonstrated ability to turn strategy into execution, agile thinking, and a strong respect for reporting, governance, and compliance.

You will have:

• High Performance Sport Sector experience
• Experience managing internal and external stakeholders
• Experience coordinating group travel
• Strategic planning and execution
• Ability to manage a budget
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
