As a member of the Associated Public Schools (APS) cricket competition we are seeking a specialist Head of Cricket to inspire our students through one of our most significant and successful sport programs. With the introduction of Girls cricket over the last two years, this key leadership role will be charged with continuing the growth and development of this iconic sport across for our students.
Leading one of our largest sporting programs at Caulfield Grammar School, the Head of Cricket will be responsible for developing an inspiring and best practice program that positions us as a leading sport school internationally in the sport of Cricket. The Head of Cricket will have the opportunity to build this foundation sport through the growth in participation at all campuses and across both male and female students. We are seeking a leader in the field to draw on their experiences to look at new and engaging approaches to program design to ensure every student within the program is valued and has opportunities to develop their love of the game.
The Role:
Key leadership role designing and implementing a first class cricket program from Years 5 - 12 for boys and girls
Drive the growth of our emerging girls cricket program
Design programs with a focus on development and engagement to encourage a love of cricket for life
Oversee a reimagined approach to coach engagement and development to ensure our students have the best opportunity to thrive in and through cricket
Explore, present and deliver strategies to further promote and strengthen the sport through both internal and external opportunities
Establish clear performance goals and objectives for the CGS Cricket program.
Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviour
Key Skills:
Extensive experience leading and implementing a cricket program, preferably at Secondary School and or in Community Sport at Elite Level
Outstanding understanding of contemporary coaching and development practices as they apply to cricket
Well-developed administration and organisational skills to drive the delivery and performance of this historical and growing program
This is a year round position offered as initially as a part time fraction averaged across the year (time fraction to be discussed with the successful applicant).
Have a Victoria, employment Working with Children Check, Level 1 First Aid and Anaphylaxis Certification or be prepared to obtain these
Hold a minimum Level 2 coaching accreditation and practical experience to this level.
