Trinity Grammar School is seeking reliable, knowledgeable and passionate casual Track and Field Coaches to commence Term 2, 2022.

The role of a Trinity Track and Field Coach is to share knowledge and understanding of athletic specific skills while fostering and developing student appreciation and skill development. The Coaching appointments on offer range from coaching year 3 to year 12 students, and successful coaches will be matched to the ‘best fit’ group/s for their coaching skills and specific event group knowledge. Training sessions will generally run 3.30pm - 5.00pm from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Director of Track and Field. Plan and implement a coaching program to achieve short and long-term outcomes.
• Facilitate the skill development of students with a range of skill levels to achieve performance outcomes.
• Attend all rostered on activities including coach’s’ meetings, training sessions and Track and Field meets.
• Liaise with the Director of Track and Field for providing reports on student performance, results and other issues as required.
• Model exemplary behaviour reflective of the values and ethos of the School.

Essential Skills and Requirements: 

• A sound coaching background, ideally in a school or junior sports program.
• Level 1 Athletics Australia coaching accreditation or willingness to complete this course.
• Demonstrated experience in managing groups, working within a sport or child-based activity.
• Ability to communicate in a professional and timely manner as you'll be interacting with peers, parents, and students.
• Professional approach to work – punctual for all coaching sessions and meetings. Equipment set up and ready to start training on time.
• Enthusiasm to develop the skills of young boys under the guidance of the Director of Track and Field.
