ABOUT THE ROLE
Inspired by the highest ideals of collaboration, cooperation, integrity and teamwork, a sports coach is an integral member of the Knox Sports and Aquatic Academy (KSAA). The Director of Sport will be responsible for ensuring the development of the Diving, Sailing, Surfing, Surf Life Saving and Water Polo (assigned sports) programs, facilities and results across all School campuses to the highest possible standard. The Director of Sport will provide a clear overall strategy for both the development of sporting excellence in the School and the participation by students of all abilities for enjoyment, health and lifelong engagement in line with the ethos of positive education and Knox Total Fitness.
This role will also include a coaching component of approximately 20 hours per week in the successful candidate’s area of expertise during the Winter Season. The successful candidate must have experience in coaching or administration for one of the assigned sports listed above.
The Director of Sport is appointed on a permanent full-time basis during term-time plus five additional weeks during non term-time (43 weeks). The Director of Sport is required to work at least 38 hours per week Monday to Friday with additional hours on Saturdays as required during the applicable sport seasons.
