2023 was the biggest year yet, with Football Australia co-hosting the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023, which captured the heart of the nation. As Football Australia continues to grow the game in 2024 and beyond, it is looking to develop further opportunities, including more senior and junior national team activity, our newly invigorated Australia Cup (Australia’s largest community-to-professional sporting tournament), and explore additional competitions and commercial programmes, such as a National Second Division, that will continue to drive the sport forward.

Football Australia and its State Federations have recently streamlined services and offerings relating to competition data capture and management, broadcast production and streaming. The Data Rights Coordinator will form a key operational support function for the delivery of a new model of fast data capture, streamlined across national and state competitions, with the outcome being an enhanced data capture program, as well as efficiencies across production and video capture across football in Australia.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in project execution, manage key partner relationships, and oversee reporting on a weekly basis.
  • Proactive monitoring around obligations of relevant commercial partners, stakeholders, and Football Australia
  • Researching market trends, analyse emerging broadcast technologies and assist in evaluating commercial partnerships to unlock efficiencies and new revenue streams for FA and its State and Territory Member Associations.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Highly organized individual with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong Microsoft Office skills and a flair for data-driven presentations.
  • Innovative thinker with an interest in technology, operations, and the commercial side of sports.
  • Experience in live sports broadcast production

Additional Requirements: 

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent 
  • International Criminal History Record for each country (other than Australia) in which you have resided for 12 months or more in the last 10 years (if applicable)
  • Out of hours and weekend work as required
