The City is seeking an experienced leader with a flair for project and event management for the role of Team Leader Community Venues. This permanent, full time position will lead the City’s Community Venues team, overseeing venue bookings for the City’s facilities, parks and beaches in addition to managing public event applications. If you’re looking to grow your leadership skills in a supportive environment where no two days are the same, then this is the role for you.

Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria: 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of community venue management and booking principles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of public event documentation and event management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customer service strategies, including customer advocacy and complaint management.
  • Highly developed analytical problem solving and research skills, including the ability to initiate, influence, monitor and evaluate new and existing processes and strategies.
  • Highly developed business planning, organisation and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams and their performance.
