About the role
Leading independent girls’ school, Camberwell Girls Grammar School, presents an opportunity for qualified Swimming Teachers and Pool Deck Supervisors to join our Aquatics program on a casual basis.
The successful candidates will teach across the CGGS Aquatic Swim School (Learn to Swim Program), the School swimming programs and potentially the Swim Club.
We have a variety of morning and afternoon shifts available.
Key responsibilities include:
- In and out of water teaching
- Learn-to-swim and water safety
- Completing associated competency records
- Responding to customer needs
- Ensuring a safe aquatic environment
- Displaying a passion for Swimming and Water Safety
To be successful you will have…
- Current Swim Teacher License (e.g. AUSTSWIM or LSV)
- Pool lifeguard certificate (desired)
- Level 2 first aid and CPR qualifications
- High level communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Criminal Record Check

Founded in July 2017, the Centre is equipped with a 25-metre indoor pool and contemporary aquatic equipment including anti-wave lane ropes and competition blocks with Swiss timing. A community-based facility, CGGS Aquatic Centre provides a range of programs including the Learn to Swim program, School swimming program and competitive Swim Club.
