Mini Champions is a vibrant, multi-sport program designed to introduce preschool-aged children to the fundamentals of sports in an engaging, educational environment. Through interactive lessons that integrate music, we focus on teaching foundational sports skills while building early literacy, numeracy, and nutrition awareness. Coaches will lead small groups of children through fun, high-energy classes that make learning through play both impactful and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, music-infused multi-sport sessions tailored for preschoolers aged 2-5.
Teach basic sports skills alongside early literacy, numeracy, and nutrition principles.
Foster a supportive, fun, and safe learning environment that encourages children’s physical and social development.
Travel to multiple preschool sites in nearby areas to conduct sessions as scheduled.
Set up and pack away equipment at each location.
Communicate with preschool staff and maintain a positive relationship with all partners.
Qualifications:
Certificate or degree in sports coaching, physical education, early childhood education, or a related field.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Key Skills and Attributes:
A passion for working with young children and making learning fun through sports.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and engage preschool-aged children.
Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
Creative, adaptable, and capable of incorporating music and movement into lesson plans.
