Wesley College Melbourne, a school of the Uniting Church, established in 1866, is one of Australia's leading and most respected co-educational independent schools. We have an opportunity for a Girls First XVIII Coach - Football (AFL) to work with the Head of Football to design a yearly program for the team including pre-season, training development, camps, holiday training, practice matches and APS / AGSV official fixtures. This position is temporary part-time commencing in January 2025.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding time management and organisational skills, be an excellent communicator with internal and external stakeholders, and be someone who values player and personal development. You will support the Head of Football with coach recruitment, conduct post-match reviews and provide player and team feedback.
The Girls First XVIII Coach will understand the needs of athletes, contribute to a positive team environment with a personal commitment to excellence and the ability to positively influence and inspire others. It is expected that the Girls First XVIII Coach attends all training sessions (weekdays, weekends, holidays), designated games and camps, meetings, professional development and any other Wesley College football activities and functions.
Applicants should have national accreditation, football experience as a coach or manager, and coaching experience at a high level.
