Reservoir United Soccer Club is seeking a passionate volunteer for the role of Technical Director, responsible for overseeing the MiniRoos program and leading the development of players and coaches. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive the technical standards and overall growth of the club’s youth soccer program.

Location: 15 Johnson St Reservoir and associated venues
Role Overview:
The Technical Director will be responsible for the strategic planning, administration, and implementation of the MiniRoos program, ensuring a high standard of coaching and player development across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership: Develop and maintain the season’s leagues, fixtures, and results for the MiniRoos program, ensuring consistency and quality.
Coach Development: Lead the training and mentoring of volunteer coaches, providing guidance on coaching techniques and player development strategies.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for coaches, players, parents, and volunteers, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
Technical Support: Work closely with the coaching staff to implement age-appropriate training sessions and technical development plans.
Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular updates and feedback to the Club President and committee, maintaining logs of issues and development progress.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring coaching staff.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of soccer coaching and player development, especially in youth programs.
Communication Skills: Excellent ability to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, including parents, players, and volunteers.
Team-Oriented: Experience in volunteer environments and an understanding of community sports culture.
Proficient in Technology: Familiarity with office software and willingness to use competition management systems.
Commitment to Sport: Passionate about soccer and motivated to make a positive impact on the community.
Flexibility: Availability to work weekends and evenings during the soccer season.
Requirements:
Must hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWC).
Coaching accreditation or equivalent experience is highly desirable.

This is a volunteer position. Time commitments will vary, with increased involvement expected during the soccer season.
