The Digital Content and Communications Coordinator is essential within SLSA, collaborating with key stakeholders in SLSA.

Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) is Australia's peak coastal water safety, drowning prevention and rescue authority.
With 193,009 members, of all age groups and demographics across 315 affiliated Surf Life Saving Clubs (SLSCs), SLSA represents the largest volunteer movement of its kind in Australia.
Since Surf Life Saving was established in 1907, over 670,000 lives have been saved. In 2021/22 our Surf Life Saving active members were involved in 8,916 rescues, 58,342 first aid treatments and more than 1.63 million preventative actions. Surf Life Saving volunteers carried out more than 1.31 million patrol hours.
Surf Life Saving is a unique not-for-profit, community cause that exists through community donations, fundraising, corporate sponsorship and government grants.

Responsibilities
This position is integral to our mission, driving forward key initiatives and contributing to the overall success of our team. Your expertise will shape our strategic direction and operational efficiency, directly impacting our innovation, growth, and the maintenance of SLSA's iconic Australian brand.
- Content Creation: Develop engaging written, video, and digital content for diverse communication channels aligned with organisational strategies.
- Social Media Management: Manage and moderate social media accounts, ensuring platforms remain updated with relevant content.
- Campaign Development: Support the creation, execution, and reporting of email campaigns, community fundraising initiatives, and digital marketing efforts.
- Copywriting and Editing: Produce and refine content for newsletters, brochures, websites, SMS, and e-communications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to produce targeted, personalised communications.
- Platform Maintenance: Ensure digital platforms, including websites, are up to date and optimized for user engagement.
- Reporting and Analytics: Provide post-campaign reports and insights to refine strategies and demonstrate effectiveness.
Who You Are
Our ideal candidate will have:
1) Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant experience in the areas of Communications and Digital Marketing.
2) Knowledge and Experience:
- Proficiency in videography and editing software
- In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and trends
- Strong writing and copy-editing skills
- Prior experience in fundraising communications and marketing campaigns, highly desirable
- Social Media content management and technical familiarity with CMS processes in social media
- Understanding of digital marketing and social media marketing
- Experience with marketing platforms, particularly email platforms
- CMS web administration experience
3) Skills and Attributes:
- Professional and articulate communicator, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail, quality and process
- Confident and calm under pressure
- A team player who has the ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to show initiative, prioritise competing work demands and meet deadlines
