The Education Coordinator (High Performance) is responsible for the coordination and delivery of structured, relevant, and engaging training and education experiences that support students to achieve their education goals, whilst maximising the overall student experience. They will collaborate with Richmond Football Club and Richmond Institute staff to maintain and advance key industry partnerships, including Swinburne University, to ensure Richmond Institute students are offered the opportunity to further strengthen their career and education pathway outcomes. Further duties will include coordinating professional development experiences and events for staff, stakeholders and students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and deliver high performance, exercise science, and strength & conditioning programs, including staff, operations, and scheduling.
- Review, develop, and implement training and assessment materials, ensuring compliance with Training & Assessment Strategies and occupational health and safety procedures.
- Deliver engaging and relevant teaching that supports exceptional student experiences and positive connections.
- Communicate course requirements, schedules, and staff rostering effectively to students and staff.
- Assess student work and provide timely feedback, supporting students to complete their courses.
- Build and maintain relationships with Swinburne University of Technology and other key stakeholders.
- Utilise student feedback and data to drive continuous program improvement and ensure satisfaction benchmarks are met.
- Develop innovative programs and events, stay updated on industry best practices, and support student recruitment and enrolment.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- A relevant degree (ideally Masters level) within High Performance, Exercise Science or related fields.
- Current Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE), or willing to complete.
- At least 5 years’ relevant work experience:
- Demonstrated relative experience in teaching or provision of training or education services.
- Related experience and/or industry currency to deliver high performance, exercise science and strength and conditioning units within our programs.
- Demonstrated experience in working with young people and adults in a training environment
- Developed leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in the area of verbal and written communication with the ability to develop positive organisational relationships at all levels
- Personal computing skills with specific knowledge of Learning Management Systems and Microsoft 365 products
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certification
- Passionate about teaching, education, sport development, leadership and management
