Coaching at Brisbane Girls Grammar School
The Sport Program at Brisbane Girls Grammar School offers 18 competitive and several non-competitive sporting activities. The School is a founding member of the Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association (QGSSSA) competition, participates in a range of Brisbane club association fixtures and offers a comprehensive Interhouse Program.
Brisbane Girls Grammar School is seeking Football (Soccer) coaches to contribute to the School’s exceptional Sport Program. The coach’s role is to deliver coaching sessions that provide a safe environment for athletes and to develop skills, tactical awareness, teamwork and enjoyment of the sport.
Due to the large size of the program, we are seeking coaches with varying experience and qualifications.
Experienced coaches may be paid on a casual basis (minimum two-hour shifts). Coaching commitments is one training session per week with fixtures held on Friday afternoons. Pay rates vary according to experience, qualifications and coaching responsibilities.
Less experienced coaches may receive an honorarium in recognition of their voluntary contribution to the School and the development and support of students.
Trainings
Football teams will commence training in Term 1 2025. Teams will train each Tuesday afternoon from 3.30pm-5.30pm, at the School's Rangakarra sports fields in Fig Tree Pocket.
Competition
The QGSSSA 2025 Football season commences on Friday, 14 March 2025. QGSSSA Football fixtures are played every Friday afternoon with the season ending on Friday, 30 May 2025.
Qualifications and experience
- Demonstrated experience coaching girls from beginner to elite level
- Coaching and/or refereeing accreditation is desirable
- Professional presentation and manner
- Ability to acquire and maintain a Positive Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
