The Opportunity:

The role of the Marketing Executive is the key role that fuels the marketing team to operate efficiently, manage all stakeholders and drive successful campaigns.

Reporting to the Marketing & Brand Manager this role will support the execution of all campaigns, support the launch and success of growth initiatives for leagues and clubs and coordinate plans across departments and stakeholders to maximise success.

This is a short-term 5-month contract.

The Responsibilities:

  • Creation of campaign briefing documents for agencies and clubs
  • Coordination of owned channel marketing plans across internal departments
  • Copy-writing for key campaigns across owned, earned and paid campaigns
  • Creation of graphic design briefs across multiple channels for campaigns
  • Coordination of production and dispatch requirements for campaign development and launch
  • Plan and execute league and club eDM campaigns
  • Development of marketing toolkits for clubs and suppliers for each campaign
  • Track campaign budgets and manage invoicing
  • Work in collaboration with external agency to plan ticketing on-sale for league events
  • Coordination of FRG administration tasks - agenda, minutes
  • General team administrative support on an ad-hoc basis
  • Manage a calendar of league and club on-sale dates and conversion requirements to maximise success
  • Assist appointed agencies and clubs as it pertains to fan strategy implementation and tactics
  • Assist clubs with owned channel support for key milestones
  • Provide reporting for clubs against key club promotions and campaigns

About You:

Essential - 

  • Tertiary education in marketing or relevant area of expertise
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant function, experience within sport preferred.
  • Self-reliant and self-starting, with the ability to work autonomously across multiple projects at once.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong planning and time management skills
  • Strong relationship builder and collaborator.

Preferred - 

  • Energetic, flexible and proactive.
  • Passion for and knowledge of football is desirable.
