KPST is embarking on its next journey as an organisation and is looking for an executive leader to help deliver our current strategic plan for FY 23-27.
In this broad and hands on executive role, you will confidently and skilfully lead the organisation’s brand and marketing functions while also overseeing our community engagement strategies, including our Diversity and Inclusion Strategy and the Reconciliation Action Plan. In addition, you will oversee the management of the Geelong Sports Museum and have the opportunity to design its strategic direction. You will effectively handle sensitive media enquiries, collaborating with internal and complex external stakeholders to build strong, positive relationships, and providing communication and advice on issues that arise. As part of the Executive Leadership team, you will actively drive the delivery of strategic and operational initiatives and projects. In addition to leading a diverse team, you will have your own tasks and responsibilities to fulfill, supporting and enabling your people to reach new professional heights with energy and dedication. Your methodical approach to compliance and problem-solving will help your department stay aligned with our organisation-wide policies, processes, and government regulations. You will lead and represent the Trust in forming business development and alliance opportunities through tourism management strategies and their implementation. Last but not least, you will act in an ambassadorial role on Event Days alongside our CEO, meeting and greeting key organisational stakeholders and representing the organisation at various functions and forums.
To be successful in this role, you should be properly qualified in the fields of public administration, finance, business administration, law, communications, marketing, public relations, media, and/or journalism. You will have strong experience working with government at all levels and significant experience in handling complex and sensitive issues, including media inquiries. Overseeing the development of and leading brand and marketing, community and other business strategies will come naturally to you, along with managing government media relations and stakeholder management.
