Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Strength & Conditioning Coach, to join our team and contribute to the success of our sports and wellbeing program. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing performance and health support to our students and community athletes, facilitating a positive and inclusive environment.
You will be responsible for coaching and supervising open weights room sessions, developing individual athlete development programs, managing and analysing data to measure performance and supporting injury management. You will liaise with key stakeholders including students, parents, staff and external medical professionals whilst building participant confidence and promoting a holistic approach to health and wellbeing.
This is a 0.8 FTE (Monday to Thursday) fixed term position through to the end of the 2025 school year.
ABOUT YOU
Knowledge & skills:
- Extensive experience working with adolescents in the delivery of S&C programs.
- Ability to build rapport with relevant stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse a sport in relation to the team and/or the athlete’s S&C needs.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Experience designing sports specific strength and conditioning programs for athletes and teams.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III & IV in Fitness
- Minimum ASCA level 1 or equivalent
- Appropriate tertiary qualification; Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, Physical Education (Desirable)
- Level 2 First Aid, and CPR Qualification
- Working with Children Check
- National Crime Check
