Guildford Grammar School is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated casual Rugby Coaches to be involved with our Senior & Junior teams over the Winter Season. The ideal candidates will possess strong qualifications and experience in Rugby, with a commitment to developing our players both on and off the field.

If you are passionate about Rugby and dedicated to developing young athletes, we would love to hear from you! Please submit a short cover letter outlining your experience both playing and coaching, along with a current resume that includes details of three current referees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and mentor teams during training sessions and matches.
• Develop and implement training plans tailored to the skill levels and further development of the students.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive culture leaving behind a legacy in the Guildford Grammar Rugby program.
• Work closely with the Head of Rugby to support talented players in achieving both team and individual success.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training and fixtures.

Training Schedule (depending on the team you’ll be coaching):

• Tuesday and Thursday, 3.30pm – 5.30pm (Seniors)
• Monday and Wednesday, 3.30pm – 5.00pm (Juniors)

Fixture Schedule:

• Friday afternoons 12.30pm-4pm (Juniors)
• Saturday mornings 8.30am – 1pm (Seniors)

About you:

• Strong knowledge of Rugby and proven coaching techniques.
• Previous coaching experience is preferred.
• Coaching accreditation is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young athletes.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive sporting environment.
• The right to work in Australia.
• Police Check (dated within the last 6 months).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Ability to build rapport with students and colleagues within the Sports Department and across the School.
