About the Role

The Commercial Partnerships Manager is central to the servicing of Hockey Australia (HA)’s valued corporate partners across a year-round program of HA events, programs and digital products including Hockey One League.

The Commercial Partnerships Manager is to manage and service all key non-Government partners as they particularly relate to the National teams (Hockeyroos & Kookaburras), Hockey One League, National Championships, Licensing program, merchandise (online and at events) and various digital assets.

The role has two direct reports and will play a key role in the career development of our Partnerships Coordinator and Partnerships Administrator.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners and an updated contact list and attend networking events.
  • Improve offerings, create new assets, and keep a sponsorship matrix to match opportunities with partner needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new partners, ensuring all contractual entitlements and deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships Coordinator to nurture corporate partnerships and support the development of athlete appearance plans
  • Manage and update the commercial CRM platform, ensuring accurate reflection of partnerships and supporting revenue growth in line with targets.
  • Lead and develop the Partnerships team by demonstrating HA Values and managing the Partnerships Coordinator and Partnerships Administrator.

Remuneration

Hockey Australia will offer a competitive salary package including superannuation dependent upon the successful applicant's skills and experience.

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • A thorough knowledge of best practice and trends in sponsorship, partnerships and risk within the sporting context
  • Undergraduate degree preferred but not essential
  • Experience with sales CRM software preferred but not essential
  • An interest in sport as a participant, volunteer, official or other capacity
