Valour are merchandise suppliers to some of NSW’s biggest sporting bodies including the NSW Swifts, Athletics NSW, Giants Netball and Little Athletics NSW and as such are looking to build their Merchandise Sales team to assist at their NSW Events selling teamwear and merchandise to members/supporters.
About the role
Based predominately at Dural and Homebush locations (travel between these locations may be required), the Merchandise Sales team is responsible for running our off-site merchandise sales events (held on weekends/weekdays). With excellent organisational and operational skills, coupled with a love of retail and customer service, members of the team will engage with our customers ensuring our delivery is second to none. Applicants will need weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Co-ordination and execution of events
- Event inventory control (stocktakes and site restocking)
- Online merchandise order fulfillment
- Maintenance of retail displays to ensure an amazing presence at events
- Loading and unloading trucks/trailers - some heavy lifting required
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Highly organised and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in a retail environment is highly desirable
- Able to work autonomously and show initiative
- Physical ability to deal with loading/unloading of boxes
- Attention to detail
- Great communication skills
- A can-do, determined attitude
- Problem solver
- Drivers license –events in Homebush and metropolitan Sydney
All roles will require weekend event availability
