About the Role

G.J. Gardner Homes Tauihi Basketball Aotearoa is seeking enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to join our Game Day Social Media team for the 2025 season (26 September – 14 December). This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who love basketball, digital content, and social media to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional sports environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Publish pre-game, live, and post-game content across Tauihi social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube).
• Monitor and respond to fan engagement during games.
• Share real-time updates including starting lineups, scores, and highlight moments.
• Coordinate post-game recaps and distribute results to media.
• Create and publish vertical reels (3–5 per game) and highlight videos.
• Track engagement and performance during live games.

Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube).
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Headline writing and copy-editing skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, live-game environment.
• Experience with Canva or similar design tools (preferred but not essential).
• A genuine passion for basketball and digital content creation.

Commitment

• Remote/work-from-home role.
• Rostered game day commitments throughout the 2025 Tauihi season (26 September – 14 December).
