Melbourne High School Old Boys Football Club (MHSOBFC) is seeking a Senior Men’s Coach to lead our senior program and help drive our vision for on-field success and off-field community connection.
About the Role
The Senior Coach will be responsible for leading our Senior Men’s football team, driving performance and development across the program. This role requires strong football knowledge, outstanding leadership, and a genuine commitment to developing players both on and off the field.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our football strategy, building a positive and inclusive culture, and mentoring players to achieve their potential. At MHSOBFC, success isn’t only measured by wins - it’s also about creating a thriving, respectful, and values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a clear game plan and training program.
- Lead and inspire players, coaches, and volunteers in line with club values.
- Drive player development through structured coaching and honest feedback.
- Oversee team selection and performance reviews.
- Build a positive, inclusive, and respectful culture across the club.
- Represent MHSOBFC at club and community events.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Australian Rules coaching experience (Open Age experience desirable).
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Knowledge of the modern game and ability to implement innovative strategies.
- Level 1 Coaching Accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
- Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- A values-driven leader committed to Community, Pride, Commitment & Discipline.
