About This Opportunity
The National Basketball League is seeking a Commercial Partnerships Coordinator – Media & Marketing to join our dynamic commercial team.
This hands-on role plays a key part in delivering creative and effective partner campaigns across NBL’s growing platforms, including NBL1, NBL Media, Blitz, and the Basketball Festival.
As a Partnerships Coordinator, you’ll help bring major brands to life through engaging marketing campaigns, digital activations, and memorable fan experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, external agencies, and partners to ensure flawless campaign execution and meaningful results.
What You’ll Do
Drive Partner Campaigns
- Coordinate end-to-end marketing campaigns that deliver measurable value for NBL partners
- Manage partner content and activations across digital, social, and traditional media
- Support the development of creative activation concepts that enhance partner exposure and fan engagement
- Collaborate with NBL Media to deliver branded content, integrations, and competitions
Deliver Results & Insights
- Set campaign objectives and KPIs with partners alongside the Partnership Account Manager
- Track campaign performance and provide regular reporting on outcomes and ROI
- Prepare mid-season and post-season performance summaries with actionable insights
- Identify new opportunities to increase partner value and strengthen relationships
Build Strong Relationships
- Act as the marketing point of contact for partners, providing proactive communication and support
- Collaborate with creative agencies, clubs, and internal departments including media, marketing, and events
- Coordinate player appearances and partner activations at live events
- Research global and Australian sports marketing best practices to enhance campaign delivery
Manage the Details
- Oversee creation and delivery of marketing collateral within agreed timelines and budgets
- Maintain accurate campaign documentation and deliverable tracking
- Support the commercial team with presentations, proposals, and partner communications
- Ensure all activities align with partnership objectives and the NBL’s broader commercial strategy
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in sponsorship, partnerships, marketing, or account coordination within a sporting organisation or media agency
- Strong understanding of marketing and media channels (digital, social, broadcast)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- High attention to detail in campaign execution and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and understanding of CRM or partnership management tools

- Familiarity with sports marketing trends and best practices
- Experience in campaign performance measurement and analysis
- Creative mindset with proven problem-solving skills
