The Opportunity
Are you passionate about developing the next generation of athletes and coaches across regional NSW?
We’re looking for an energetic and driven Performance Pathways Coach – Country to join our Coaching & Development Team.
In this key role, you will help deliver BNSW’s performance pathway objectives, supporting athlete and coach development programs with a strong focus on regional engagement and high-performance outcomes. You will be instrumental in building capability, fostering collaboration, and aligning delivery to BNSW’s strategic plan and national performance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate the delivery of the State Performance Program (SPP) across Regional NSW.
- Lead and oversee the State Team Program (U16s and U18s), including coach recruitment, trials, selections, and development tours.
- Develop and maintain a connected network of performance coaches across NSW.
- Support the delivery of the Talented Athlete Program (TAP) and D-League under the direction of the Emerging Pathways Coach.
- Embed and promote the Basketball NSW Style of Play (SOP) and associated curriculum in all programs, camps, and sessions.
- Collaborate with Regional Academies of Sport and Association Representative Programs to identify and nurture emerging talent.
- Liaise with Basketball Australia and other key stakeholders to align state and national performance priorities.
- Maintain program records, reports and administration to ensure compliance and effective program delivery.
- Represent BNSW at relevant competitions and events, modelling BLUES values and professional conduct at all times.
- Actively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with program delivery to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
