Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia.
Lifesaving has been an integral part of the Victorian way of life since 1904. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing.
Our volunteers, members, employees and partners work together with communities, educational institutions, government agencies, businesses and the broader aquatic industry, to Save lives and empower communities to safely enjoy water.
Officer - Event Logistics
Are you ready to be a part of the Life Saving Victoria events this summer? We have an exciting opportunity to join our sports team and be an active contributor to our summer sports events. LSV are seeking engaged Officers - Event Logistics to support the set up and delivery of our carnivals and training events across Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver, set up, and pack down event equipment including signage, furniture, and technical gear.
- Provide operational support during events, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist with crowd movement.
- Safely lift and move heavy equipment and pallets.
- Operate LSV vehicles, including pool vehicles, trucks and forklifts as required.
- Travel on weekends to Surf Coast, Peninsula, and central Melbourne event locations.
Who are you?
You are able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong time management, initiative and attention to detail.?You will be an exceptional collaborator who is comfortable communicating at all levels.
Your enthusiastic, approachable, and can-do attitude will be the basis of your success in this role.
Essential
- Previous experience in event delivery and/or operational event logistics
- Current and valid driver's licence, with willingness to travel between locations.
- Availability to work weekends and after hour shifts.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check
