THE ROLE

Lead a whole school Rugby program that promotes player development, participation and performance in alignment with the College’s values and strategic sporting vision. This includes implementing the First XV season plan; overseeing recruitment, selection and retention strategies; collaborating with Strength & Conditioning, High Performance and Medical teams to support athlete wellbeing and performance; and working with the Director of Rugby to deliver the College’s Coaching Curriculum and Framework.

WHO WE ARE

St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace is a Catholic Day School in the Edmund Rice tradition for young men in Years 5 to 12. The college has an enrolment of 1900 boys from Years 5 to 12, and a staff of 240. Terrace’s Sporting program has a proud and longstanding tradition, playing a key role in both the individual and shared experiences of our students. It supports the College’s mission to provide a well rounded education for our young men.

ABOUT YOU

• Level 3 or higher Rugby Australia Coaching Accreditation (or international equivalent).
• Experience in school based or high performance Rugby environments.
• Strong understanding of contemporary coaching principles and long-term athlete development models
• Ideally with a background in education, sports management or player development

This is a fixed-term, part-time co-curricular position, commencing in 2026.
