About the Role

The Partnerships & Digital Assistant reports to the Partnerships Manager and plays a key role in supporting the delivery of commercial and government partnership benefits, while assisting with digital content and social media activities. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sports and communications, providing hands-on experience across partnership servicing, content creation, and community engagement to help grow the Hockey Australia brand.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist the Partnerships Manager to deliver contracted benefits for commercial and government partners.
  • Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with Hockey Australia’s partners and stakeholders.
  • Administer the commercial CRM platform to ensure accurate and timely partnership records.
  • Support partner servicing activities, including athlete appearances and event hosting (interstate travel may be required).
  • Assist with ensuring partner branding is correctly represented across HA channels, including website and team uniforms.
  • Support social media activity across Meta, LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms, including paid ads and content scheduling.
  • Assist with content creation for campaigns, events, and game days, ensuring alignment across all digital channels.
  • Support monitoring and responding to social media engagement to enhance community interaction and brand awareness.
  • Assist with compiling social media analytics and reporting to inform campaigns and performance reviews.
  • Provide general administrative support, including online shop queries and alumni event assistance.

Remuneration

Hockey Australia will offer a $50,000 - $53,000 base salary plus superannuation dependent upon the successful applicant's skills and experience.

Experience, Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with partners, member associations, and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of hockey and an understanding of the Australian sports sector, including current trends and growth opportunities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with social media content creation and engagement across multiple platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to support multiple projects and meet deadlines.
