Townsville City Netball Association is seeking a confident, organised, and sport-savvy Competitions Manager to lead the delivery and growth of our community and representative competitions. This role is the operational engine of the association, responsible for ensuring fixtures, clubs, players, and officials are supported and that competitions run smoothly, safely, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, scheduling, delivery, and review of all TCNAI competitions and carnivals.
Manage all aspects of Netball Connect, including registrations, transfers, club support, compliance checks, and reporting.
Prepare and publish fixtures, grading structures, season plans, and competition documentation.
Oversee game-day operations on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, including court supervision, incident response, and rule compliance.
Process match results, player eligibility, awards, and end-of-season requirements.
Liaise with clubs to ensure clear and consistent communication, including by-laws, policy updates, and competition changes.
Support coach, umpire, and representative program operations as required.
Assist with sponsorship deliverables, media updates, and community engagement activities.
Manage complaints, disputes, and incident reports in a calm, structured, and fair manner.
Contribute to administrative, governance, and financial tasks as part of the TCNAI operations team.
Uphold all safety, risk management, and child-safeguarding procedures.
About You
Experience in netball, sport administration, competitions management, or a similar operational sport environment.
Strong understanding of community sport competition structures and game-day operations.
Clear, confident communicator who can work with clubs, officials, athletes, and volunteers.
Skilled problem solver who stays steady under pressure and makes practical, fair decisions.
Tech-capable and able to learn systems quickly (Netball Connect experience highly valued).
Prepared to work evenings and some weekends during competition seasons and carnivals.
Current Blue Card (or willing to obtain).
Must have Australian work rights.
Desirable
Qualifications in Sport Administration, Sport Management, Business, or similar.
Driver's licence.
First Aid accreditation (preferred).
