Casey Demons Football Club is an aligned Club with the Melbourne Football Club and seen as an integral part of player development of MFC players and a great environment for the development of VFL listed players.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Club is seeking to appoint a VFLW Assistant Coach for the Casey Demons Football Club. This is an exciting opportunity to assist our Senior Coach in developing and implementing training programs that improve individual player skills, team dynamics, and overall game strategy.
This role will be commencing in February 2026.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting directly to the VFLW Senior Coach, the key areas of responsibilities will include:
- Support the Senior Coach in developing and implementing the VFLW Football Program, including game plans, training sessions and match strategies.
- Conduct individual and team skill development sessions, and provide feedback to players on their performance.
- Assist in game day presentation and support the Senior Coaching during matches
- Contribute to the development of team culture, values and standards
- Collaborate with other coaches, support staff, and players to create a positive and high-performance environment.
- Analyse and review game footage to provide feedback to players and coaches in review and preview sessions for their allocated Line.
- Provide input into player recruitment and talent identification
- Actively participate in coach education and development opportunities
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are someone who holds a minimum Level 2 Coaching Accreditation and brings proven experience in a similar role. You can demonstrate a strong ability to build rapport and trust with both players and staff. You are self-motivated and result-driven, with a professional approach that supports consistent performance and development within a high-performance environment.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to think on your feet, adapting effectively to changing situations. With excellent attention to detail and outstanding written and verbal communication skills, you are flexible, adaptable, and well-equipped to thrive in a dynamic football environment.
You will be required to work on match days and other events which may be outside of normal business hours.
