The North Gold Coast Seahawks are seeking a Competitions Coordinator to lead the delivery of our junior and senior domestic basketball competitions.
This is a people-focused role at the heart of community sport, perfect for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, getting their hands dirty, and creating great experiences for players, parents, coaches, and officials.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for ensuring competitions run smoothly, fairly and professionally across multiple venues. While fixtures and systems are important, this role is really about people and experience being visible, responsive and trusted.
You’ll have real autonomy, a supportive leadership team, and the opportunity to grow with one of Queensland’s fastest-growing basketball associations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage junior and senior domestic competitions
- Build and maintain fixtures, ladders and results (Basketball Connect)
- Act as the primary point of contact for teams, clubs, referees and venues
- Resolve game-day issues calmly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with association bylaws and governing-body policies
- Support volunteers, referees and court controllers
- Coordinate presentations and competition milestones
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and participant experience
About You
Essential
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with excellent people skills
- Able to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- Comfortable using technology and learning new systems
- Current Paid Blue Card and driver’s licence
Desirable
- Experience in sports administration or competitions
- Knowledge of basketball or community sport
- Experience using Basketball Connect or similar systems
