Ice Skating Australia (ISA)

Job Title

ISA Director (Appointed) – Grants and Fundraising.

Objective

Identify, secure and manage grants, fundraising initiatives and partnerships to support the strategic priorities of Ice Skating Australia Limited (ISA).

Responsibilities

Grant management

  • Identify, assess, and monitor relevant funding opportunities from the Australian Sports Commission, Federal and State/Territory Governments, local councils, and philanthropic bodies.
  • Prepare high-quality grant applications aligned with ASC priorities, ISA’s Strategic Plan, and Sport Integrity frameworks.
  • Manage grant agreements, acquittals, and reporting to ensure full compliance with funding requirements.
  • Maintain a grants calendar for submissions, milestones, and reporting deadlines.

Fundraising and Revenue Generation

  • Develop and implement a national fundraising strategy to complement government funding.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, donors, and philanthropic trusts.
  • Lead fundraising campaigns, events, and appeals.
  • Explore innovative revenue streams aligned with the values of ISA.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Liaise with the Australian Sports Commission and other funding bodies as required.
  • Work collaboratively with State/Territory Associations, clubs, coaches, and volunteers to support funding outcomes.
  • Support the ISA Board of Management with funding briefings and reports.
  • Represent the organisation professionally with external stakeholders and partners.

Required Skills

  • Experience working within a National or State Sporting Organisation.
  • Knowledge of Australian government funding processes and ASC funding framework.
  • Demonstrated experience in grants administration, grant writing, or fundraising.
  • High-level written communication and reporting skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with key stakeholders.
  • Strong commitment to good governance and ethical practice.

Desirable Criteria

  • Grant writing and management, experience in securing and managing sponsorship and other funding.
