Melbourne University runs Competitive Mens and Womens Teams that enter into external competitions, both leagues, tournaments and intervarsity.

Coaches are responsible for managing the respective team. The Coach provides high-quality coaching and training for all players, with the intention of preparing players for competitions and tournaments. The Coach conducts appropriate quality futsal activities that will enhance the players' experience within the Club, develop their ability, combined with creating a fair and inclusive environment.

Coaches will:

• Coordinate the delivery of training and match day for the development of registered players tailored to the needs of the team and the athlete, focusing on skill enhancement, strategy development and performance improvements (including match results). 
• Provide mentoring, guidance and support, helping registered members set and achieve team and individual goals. This involved offering constructive feedback and fostering a positive learning environment 
• Assess performance through observation and analysis, identifying strengths and weaknesses, utilising video tools where appropriate. Incorporate analysis in to enhance future training effectiveness.
• Oversee any trial sessions and manage all player selections in accordance with Club Policy and Procedures 
• Ensure a healthy and inclusive team dynamic, alongside the Team Manager, to ensure effective communication and collaboration among members. Provide initial response to any immediate grievances, issues or safety concerns.  
• Work with Football Victoria and other external competition providers for which the team enters, as well as opposition coaches, team managers and players.
• Work towards the Team’s Performance Objectives as set by the Club with the Futsal Director and Club committee. 

Coaches are Volunteers and will receive stipends/honarariums to recognise their time contribution towards the Club.
