We are seeking an experienced and dedicated 1st Netball Coach to lead our Firsts Netball team for the 2026 winter season. This is a temporary 0.16 FTE seasonal role from 1 March to 31 August 2026. The ideal candidate will hold an intermediate or advanced netball coaching accreditation, be dynamic and organised, and demonstrate strong communication skills. They will be passionate about developing athletes, have a strong understanding of netball pathways, and enjoy working collaboratively with a team of coaches to deliver a high-quality program aligned with Wesley’s values of teamwork, integrity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Firsts Netball team through training sessions, match preparation, and weekly competition.
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions that build athlete skill, game sense, decision-making, and positional awareness.
- Complete all coaching duties in line with College expectations, including marking attendance, providing feedback, entering game day details, and participating in post-game debriefs.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Coach – Netball, Head of Campus Sport and the College Head of Sport to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performing team environment that reflects Wesley’s sporting culture.
- Engage respectfully with parents, officials, and opposition teams on game days.
- Ensure student safety, complete incident reports as required and uphold all College child safety processes and expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Netball Victoria Coaching Accreditation - Intermediate or Advanced (essential).
- Previous experience coaching senior school, representative, or high-performance netball teams.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate young athletes.
- CPR and First Aid certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- A valid Working with Children Check (Employee).
- Commitment to child safety and the wellbeing of students, in accordance with Wesley’s Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct.

- This is a 0.16 FTE temporary seasonal position from 1 March to 31 August 2026.
- Training and competition commitments align with Wesley’s winter sports schedule, including midweek training and Saturday fixtures.
